FCT residents block Osinbajo’s convoy, protest alleged land takeover by military


Some aggrieved Abuja residents blocked the convoy of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to Laolu Akande, Snr Special Assistant-Media & Publicity to the Vice President, the FCT residents protested alleged land takeover by the military.

The Vice-President got down and engaged the people while proposing to meet with their leaders with a view to finding an amicable solution.

“On his way to the airport just now, VP Osinbajo runs into a group of FCT residents protesting alleged land takeover bid by the military.

“He gets down, engages the people, proposing to meet with their leaders on the matter & intervene with a view to finding an amicable solution,” Laolu Akande wrote on Twitter.
