Former Nigeria Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, has told Senate President, Bukola Saraki that he will support him in his bid to become president just the way his late father supported him during his failed presidential ambition. “It is my turn to do what your father did to me”, Babangida said. He said this when  Saraki visited him in Minna , Niger State,  as part of his nationwide campaign tour for the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, convention. JUST IN: Why Ambode Cannot Be Governor For Second Term — Tinubu

Image
The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has opened up at last on why the incumbent Lagos State governor, Ambode Akinwunmi cannot be trusted for a second term. Some last minute diplomacy by presidency and concerned stakeholders to save Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s job for another term might have hit yet another brick wall as Tinubu has remained adamant insisting that he does not want to repeat the mistake he made after several prominent people intervened when he moved against former Governor Babatunde Fashola. The Fashola experience is said to have left a bitter taste in Tinubu’s mouth as Fashola went on to build his own relationship with Buhari without his (Tinubu’s) endorsement. Fashola, Tinubu’s loyalists lament, almost emasculated the godfather. The hawks around him are said to be furiously backing Tinubu not to cave in to pressure to drop his opposition to the governor’s second term for similar reason that A...

Ronaldo and Modric both helped  Real Madrid  to Champions League glory prior to the former's move to Juventus, with Salah scoring an incredible 44 goals in all competitions for  Liverpool . That means that there's no place in the final three for  Barcelona  sensation Lionel Messi, despite his exploits in helping the Catalan giants win the Liga title last season . Modric won UEFA's award for best player of the year last season,  which drew condemnation from Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes , for snubbing the top goalscorer in the Champions League  . Ronaldo's move to Turin came after he eliminated  Juventus  from Europe with an empathic overhead kick, which als...
